11x Brazilian Jiu Jits World Champion Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida Endorses Cualicure for the Prevention of Cauliflower Ear

It was an interesting road to the completion of this effort you see above. It surrounds one of the most fierce, determined and generous competitors on he planet, and it turns out, he looks at the world with the wisdom of someone well beyond their late 20's. 

We introduced Marcus Almeida "Buchecha" to the product pretty casually, with the intent of gaining feedback for what Cauliflower Ear meant to him, and what he thought about the current state of the sport from a youth perspective.  We were amazed at the interest he had in not only shooting the footage, but talking about his personal experience with the condition and how that can and will translate to the younger grapplers.

Our intention with Caulicure is to help grow contact sport, and his insight, interest and perspective will help re-direct the BadAss association with permanent ear damage across the board.  There is always going to be a portion of the population that sees it as a reflection of hard work. We support that 100%. What we really are trying to do is make the contact sport community understand the down side to this issue. Ridiculous medical costs, incompetent physicians and greedy specialists are just the beginning. Prevention is so fucking simple, and we feel that this system will change the way the condition is perceived and dealt with.
